Great sense of dread and anxiety throughout the entire film with a kick-ass opening and ending, but it's not gonna stick with me later in life or anything
I love Peter Weir's way of twisting reality enough for you to not expect anything from a pretty straightforward story. The filmmakimg here is great, bjt just like Picnic at Hanging Rock I found the ending a little too loose for me to totally grapple onto and retain my interest. Still very unique and interesting 👍🏾
Leonardo Dicaprio turned down Bradley Cooper's role in Licorice Pizza to be the lead in Nighmere Alley, but turned that down too. He ended up making this hunk of shit instead while Cooper took the lead in Nightmere Alley and worked with two GOATed directors.
