Was lucky enough to be able to catch this playing at the Louisville Palace last night with a follow-up Q&A by Cary Elwes! It was a blast getting to hear his onset experience and what this movie has done for him. My favorite part was his story about Andre and how he rode a three-wheel atv around the set lmao.

“What am I going to tell the kids?”
    “Tell them I’m going fishing.”

With Jaws, Spielberg creates some of the tense moments ever put to film. With Brody sitting on the beach for the first time, we see what feels like his POV, seeing all of the people and animals in the water, we feel his unease, we are thinking the same thoughts as him. With our antagonist being in the water, anytime that element is out in front of us,…

Sometimes it’s not always best to confront your trauma…

I really dug the gore and horror aspect of things, the body horror is great but unfortunately I feel like they relied too heavily on the jumpscares. There are a few scares that are good (The Ring homage!!) but with how creepy everything else is made to be, some of them felt unnecessary.

The story is fine, it’s nothing unfamiliar or new but it’s not something I’m against. Part of it…

“The truth is we all live our lives dangerously in a state of jeopardy, at the edge of calamity. You have discovered that the veil that separates your ordered life from disarray is wafer thin. This is the ordinary truth of existence from which none of us are exempt. In time we all find out we are not in control. We never were. We never will be. But we are not without power. We always have the freedom to choose…

It’s crazy to see the pot-boiling over a year or so, to see the Spencer house brainwashing their kids with conspiracies, ruining their lives and raising them to be scared of ghosts that aren’t there. While the whole time, young black kids are scared to grow up because of the actual, true horrors they face day to day.

While seeing these crazy clips of people on the far-right can be funny, it’s just more sad and scary that people can…

Okay but the Flamingo backstory is up there with the beginning of Up… there was no reason for that to be so sad lmao

Just a showcase of all of the best characters showing off their best moves against each other, it doesn’t get better than this.

If a bunch of random white women came into my home and tried to claim it as their own I’d be pretty pissed too.
