Mrs. Robinson, I think you're trying to seduce me!
I couldn't really figure out an opinion on this film until the film ended and I was just sitting in my bed shaking. This film is probably the most beautiful film I've ever seen. It feels weird to say it but I don't know that I've ever felt that I relate to characters more than I related to Neil and Brian. The editing and filming show how even a world like this can have so much love in it. Best performances, lighting, and even soundtrack (what there is of it) of the year. Fuck.
often times people fall into the idea that losing one part of yourself is equal to losing yourself as a whole.
ruben sits in the mindset that while he may not be losing himself as a whole, what is the point to a life with a part missing? its so rare to see a film that takes life away from a person and brings it back. as the movie progresses, you can feel ruben being pulled farther and farther from…
I spent so much time avoiding this film because I knew when I watched it, I would fall in love with it and I didn't want to use up that moment. this film is so incredibly gorgeous, and filled with love. every single thing about this film, the use of natural light, the absence of a soundtrack, the emotion, perfect. I love this film so so much
ps. I could NOT get over how much Marianne looked like Vilde from SKAM
