I wish the story took itself more seriously in a realistic approach. There are plenty of moments, while comical, that just wouldn’t happen in real life. One example is the ending, but I’ll leave it there. Great performances and some funny bits.

    Knives Out

    Loved, loved, loved this movie.

So much talent behind the cast and they all play up to their chracter so well. The screenplay by Rian Johnson is absolutely brilliant as there are so many twists and turns with the narrative.

  • The Good Liar

I saw the twist coming a mile away, but the performances of Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen are what makes this movie salvageable.

  • The King

    STOP THE FUCKING CHARADE

Some moments are better than others as this film definitely has pacing issues. The performances make up for it.

Robert Pattinson’s French accent... I have to laugh.

  • Jojo Rabbit

I thought this would be a satire from start to finish, but this film has a lot of heart. I cried a few times. Taika Waititi continues to be one my favorite directors working today (and he's plays a great Hitler).

  • Charlie's Angels

    Charlie's Angels

Everyone will talk about Kristen Stewart’s performance, but wow, I adore Naomi Scott.Β

I’ve never seen the original Charlie’s Angels so I didn’t know what to expect, but it was light hearted and cheesy (intentionally I think). Some fun action sequences and strong direction from Ms. Elizabeth Banks.

  • Parasite

I had to watch this again in the theaters. Knowing how everything unfolds makes the experience so much better. Also helps when you spend most of the time watching the characters instead of the subtitles.

  • Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

    Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Out of all the Disney live action films this year (Dumbo, Lion King, Aladdin), I'd say this is probably the best out of the bunch - but that's not saying much.

  • The Lighthouse

    The Lighthouse

    β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜…

Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson are so great together. A lot of absurd moments throughout. LOVE how it’s shot in B&W and its aspect ratio.Β

Someone needs to explain the ending to me because I’m a bit lost.

  • The Addams Family

    The Addams Family

Yes, this movie has a lot of problems, but I was enjoying myself the whole time. The story is simple, but has a cute message at the end about accepting others. I don't get the hate for the 3D animation.

It's pretty unique. Nick Kroll as Uncle Lester had me dying.

    Uhm...
Go watch this. As soon as possible.

The best zombie movie featuring Taylor Swift's Shake It Off.
