I spent this past weekend watching a lot of the Academy nominated films and this Independent film deserves any accolades it gets. This film about life in the projects in Orlando, Florida is great on all levels with the acting performance of Willem Dafoe as the Motel Manager earning him a Best Actor nomination. The little girl Brooklynn Prince is very good considering its her first major film role. Beautifully filmed by Sean Baker whos previous film "Tangerine" I really enjoyed. Highly recommended

This was one of the better films from this type of hand held camera genre,It was quite well done by Derek Lee and Clif Prowse, these guys probably did not have much of a budget but managed to make a tense horror that for the first half people might think they have been duped but believe me it builds up and then is pretty fast paced, like the locales also, will look for future entries from these two film-makers.

Well I'm glad that's over. The first movie in this franchise was ok but then they just got progressively worse. Stupid storyline where she's an executive by day- hooker by night, just to find a killer. The only redeeming feature is the inclusion of classic actor Roddy McDowell, how he ever agreed to be in this I have no idea but I'm sure he didn't need the money that bad. Avoid this at all costs

A solid documentary here about some of the victims of that terrible day in 2001. Having seen a lot of documentaries about 9/11 and the Two Towers it was good to learn more about the four planes and the victims aboard them from their families. Released on the 20th Anniversary on the History Channel

The idea of making a horror version of a classic TV series seemed ok on paper but that's where it ended. The movie is full of so many horror clichés, the acting was horrendous, chief villain was just dumb. The movie has no redeeming qualities at all, yeah I know that have B grade movies but this is about a D, Avoid at all costs

Mel Gibson delves back into war stories again as Director and has done a great job of this true story about conscientious objector who refuses to use a gun during the Battle of Okinawa. Andrew Garfield plays Desmond Doss and has researched his character very well. There is quite a lot of religion featured in this but it is a big part of the story. I did find it a bit unrealistic towards the end and am not sure if that actually happened that way or its Hollywoodised. Worth seeing
