Talkin’ bout TÁR - a fascinating, often intriguingly opaque deconstruction of art, identity, power and social perception. Loved how the immaculate aesthetic of the movie started to slip away as Tár began to unravel. Also loved the way Todd Field (welcome back btw!) deliberately chose where and how to run his opening credits; the order of which they’re presented feels ingeniously entwined with the substance of the film itself. Maybe Cate Blanchett’s best performance??
