I hadn’t realized that I’ve never seen a Ryan Gosling movie before. He’s pretty cool.
At least he’s cool in Drive. He even rocks the cool jacket and toothpick look. He doesn’t say much. His actions mostly do the talking for him. I make it sound cheesy, but I ate it up.
I checked the credits before the finale, and I was not surprised that his character didn’t have a name. He’s simply referred to as Driver in the credits. It reminded me of The Stranger from High Plains Drifter. He’s not as badass or mysterious as Clint Eastwood’s character, but he’s still pretty cool.
