Ben Peterson’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the better DTV action/martial arts movies out there. Some of the fights could be filmed better, or differently to highlight Amy Johnston's incredible stuntwork and choreography. But its weird, because when streetfighting or defending herself from bad guys, its a little shaky. But when fighting in the Kumite, the tournament, its much more steady and advantagoues to the action - which definitely picks up near the middle and continues to the end.
The start of this one is a little rough, but stick with it. As more fighters are introduced, played by Jenny Wu, Jet Tranter and Mayling Ng, it gets a palpable shot of adrenaline and adds a lot of character.
