Finally watched every YouTube film reviewers favorite film of 2016, it was pretty good.
Gosling and Crowe make a great duo. Gosling’s daughter is great when she’s doing comedy, not so much when she’s doing drama. The part where Gosling falls off the deck while “acting” is the hardest a film has made me laugh in a while.
The cinematography is solid though nothing extraordinary. The worst part of the film is by far the score, most of it sounds like stock music, especially during the action scenes.
I really did the like what the movie had to say about the deep corruption that lies within our government’s many departments/agencies, and it was nice to see such a light hearted film explore such a serious subject.
A fun watch that I would not mind revisiting at some point.
