BenMontero’s review published on Letterboxd:
The acting, the suspense, especially the filmmaking by Bong Joon-ho is beyond masterful. His symbolism with obscure objects and eye for perspective (big props to cinematography) immerses us in these characters’ lower-class experiences with upper-class lifestyle. The wholly original and brilliant story is not only damn entertaining, but also organically includes some interesting social commentary that doesn’t feel too forced upon. PARASITE is a triumph, masterclass work. The Academy better make up for not giving ROMA the award for Best Picture by giving it to PARASITE, because Joon-ho has created one of the best, if not THE best, films of the year. 100.
