Hoop-Tober Six Six Six
Low-key might be Fulci’s most beautiful and opulent work. There’s a joke towards the end where a deranged hippie starts dipping throwing knives into buckets of paint and hurling them at a canvas, gouts of red erupting from the point of impact. “What are you doing?” asks one of the characters. “Painting” she replies bluntly. I remember watching this with for a module and the whole class erupted in laughter. And yes, it’s a good joke. Really, though, it’s the key to understanding the whole film.
