• Taxi Driver

    Taxi Driver

It’s a great movie that is highly overrated, but I still recommend watching it.

I watched it for the first time a few months ago and that’s where I really went in depth with my review. This review is just gonna be short because my opinion honestly hasn’t changed. I watched it because I had to for class, I honestly thought I was gonna rate it higher but it’s gonna stay the same as before.

  • Saving Mr. Banks

    Saving Mr. Banks

Decent biopic with great performances, but some pacing issues.

Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson are what make this film. They had great chemistry together and Hanks kills it as Walt Disney. Perfect casting. I also really enjoyed the scenes where they were all in the rehearsal room working on the screenplay and the music. Those were my favorite scenes, as well as the Disneyland scene.
The flashbacks were the worst part about the film. They don’t…

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas

    The Nightmare Before Christmas

    Forever Iconic.

Although very short this film manages to be one of if not the most iconic Halloween film as well as being one of my favorite Christmas films as well. The entire soundtrack in the film is outstanding. That and the stop motion animation is easily what makes the film as memorable as it is. Had it been animated and not stop motion then it would not at all be as great as it is. It would still be…

  • Lady Bird

    Lady Bird

Amazingly written and extremely well acted. Terrific filmmaking.

You know it’s a great movie when you can feel as if you’re not watching a movie and your watching real life. The characters in this film feel so real and are written and portrayed so well that it feels like you’re watching real people. Like I want to be friends with Lady Bird. I feel like I already know her. The things that happen to her and the people…

  • Jeepers Creepers

    Jeepers Creepers

    Solid Horror Film

This the type of horror film where you yell at the characters because they make such stupid decisions. The film even acknowledges this.
I love the whole concept, the monster, and the music. Justin Long is great as well.
Although, at times I felt the writing was a little lazy it was overall pretty good. It’s a solid horror flick with an iconic monster and it will keep you up at night. Haven’t…

  • Harold and Maude

    Harold and Maude

    Great film.

Surprisingly hilarious and strange story about living life to the fullest. This film was really well made and the soundtrack for the film was also amazing. I really enjoyed watching it, it was fun to watch.
Ruth Gordon really had a great and touching performance in the film as Maude, an old woman who loves life and the earth. I also thought Bud Cort was surprisingly charming as well in the film as Harold,…

  • Possum

I honestly didn’t like it at all.

Saw someone on TikTok say that they love horror and this film “actually scared” them. Was honestly looking forward to watching it because it actually looked scary. Disappointed but not surprised.

Although the film succeeds in creating an eerie and creepy atmosphere through the music as well as the camera, the story itself is honestly almost nonexistent. It was just so boring to me. I will admit Sean Harris was good…

  • The Social Dilemma

    The Social Dilemma

I strive to be as woke as that fat hippie guy with the dreadlocks.

This is definitely a problem that everyone needs to be aware of. I myself have been aware of the issues regarding AI and how it predicts and manipulates our behavior through social media, advertising, and fake news. It didn’t really tell me anything I didn’t already know, so at times it was boring. But, for those who don’t I can see how this documentary…

  • House of 1000 Corpses

    House of 1000 Corpses

I really liked it, it definitely surprised me.

It’s hilarious, fun, creepy, gorey, filled with schlock, and also is just an overall really good horror film. I think Rob Zombie knocked it out of the park with this one. The attention to detail, the editing, the costumes and makeup as well as the direction were all really well done. The production design is fantastic. There are also a handful of great characters that I really liked as well.…

  • American Murder: The Family Next Door

American Murder: The Family Next Door

    Such a heartbreaking tragedy

Wow. That was crazy. That was such a sad story. I’m like almost in shock after watching it. This is one of the most heartbreaking murder documentaries I’ve ever seen honestly. I thought it was really good. I don’t want to ruin anything if you don’t know the full story, but I remember watching the half an hour body cam footage of the police first checking the house on YouTube like a year and…

  • Man of Steel

    Man of Steel

    Solid film.

This was actually the last film I saw in theaters with my Grandfather before he passed away that December of 2013. So, it’s got a special place in my heart for sure. I liked it a lot to be quite honest. In my opinion, it started out very strong in the first act. I liked the Krypton scene in the opening. It was expositional, but not in an over the top way. The action I thought…

  • Life

    Disappointed, but not surprised.

A very talented cast that I felt was honestly just wasted. The acting was actually good it was just a poorly written screenplay in my opinion. There were no interesting characters. They were all bland as hell and had nothing interesting to offer. The only interesting character is Calvin and he’s a CGI alien.
I’m not surprised yet another great concept and idea was botched by Hollywood due to shitty writing. I would honestly love…
