Benton Paul’s review published on Letterboxd:
while not my personal favorite movie (meaning, the desire to own it, rewatch it, share it with everyone i know), i can't deny the experience i had, the booming sound design, the non-linear story line, and the hauntingly memorable European sky, sand, and sea shots.
expectations: once again too high. :( idk what i'm doing to myself with rotten tomatoes. it's a blessing and a curse i guess. mood: good mood, stoked. taste: while i don't go to all war films, i appreciated Dunkirk for not getting too gory, but still making me feel like i was there in the planes and on the boats. i might even have a little PTSD after the watch.
