If there’s any kind of magic in this world it must be in the attempt of understanding someone sharing something.

Each viewing I have of this film brings upon a new perspective. While Before Sunrise has always been one of my all time favorites, this time around I truly feel it on a deeper level. It is love captured on celluloid. Not your typical romance movie, but true affection and understanding. Jesse’s comment about how he’s always felt like he’s…

This will be my third time reviewing this film and I can still find new things to gush about. I’ll try to keep this brief though. Perfectly imperfect. The score has always been amazing, but I think it may be my favorite by Carpenter now. Just the best pairing with the moody atmosphere. It seems everyone is firing on all cylinders. Wallace, Cundey, Carpenter and Atkins. All stars. I have to touch on…

One of the greatest horror posters to me with its simple yet effective design. I’ve kept House in my back pocket for years because I assumed it would be a great 80s watch when I needed it. It could’ve stayed in the back pocket a little while longer. The beginning is fantastic and sets the tone…or so I thought. There’s too much going on for the tone to be consistent. Goofy at times, deadly serious Vietnam War PTSD commentary at…

Miles better than the first movie for me. Sure, there’s no Karloff, but we do get Wallace Ford making quips left and right, and becoming a badass near the end. Much more in the realm of the Brendan Fraser led Mummy series. Funny, horror at the right moments, and an actual sense of adventure. A lot of good qualities packed into this short runtime. As far as Universal monster movies go, this is very underrated. Super fun from start to finish.

I remember quietly laughing to myself whenever the trailer for this would show up before whatever movie I was seeing. Now I get to admit that my laughs weren’t entirely warranted. In fact, M3GAN is actually fine. fine is the key word here. It’s a time waster that rips off Child’s Play. It really should’ve just been the Child’s Play reboot. The only thing the movie had going against was it’s titular character surprisingly enough. Her gradual change into murder…

“As I was leaving, I asked if he’d give me a ride home. I hadn’t ridden a motorcycle in a long time. Actually, I hadn’t been that close to anyone for a while. The road wasn’t that long and I knew I’d soon be getting off. But at that moment, I felt such warmth.”As each day goes by I realize I’m living in a Wong Kar-wai world. A world full of beautiful, lonely people longing for connection or just that…
