Ok. I friggin love how Michael Haneke can film his actresses doing the most mundane things like Isabelle Huppert walking through a mall or Juliette Binoche doing her ironing, and yet it’s anything but mundane to watch. He’s truly a director that knows how to direct women. I love that.
This flick was essentially just a mishmash of different peoples lives, somehow connected but never really explaining how, and nothing really ever actually happens but I still couldn’t tear my eyes away from it.
La Binoche, that grande dame of French cinema, she is just sublime. Oh, how I would love to meet her.
