Spielberg really did make a masterpiece just starting off on his career, like damn I’m kinda jealous. Expertly crafted and paced movie, gives you enough to care for what’s happening and actually has characters that aren’t annoying (a bit of a trait in horror movies). Jaws has you tense right from start to finish, with tapping in to our fear of sharks, I still can’t believe that this film caused so many people panic on sharks, a MOVIE did that. Pretty amazing thinking about it. In all aspects it’s a spectacular motion picture!

I think my Generation give him a bad consensus since his recent movies aren’t as good, even though the fact that he made this movie alone, cements him for me as one of the best filmmakers.
