Here for fun.
Rating system: Whatever feels right.
I don't log rewatches, but I rewatch way more than I first watch.
They had us in the first half, not gonna lie
Look, it's got some worthwhile qualities, so it's not like an absolute waste of time. But, it just doesn't say anything that'll get you thinking, even the shocking imagery feels empty.
Alex, for a dollar, you wanna talk about men, why are we focusing on this suffering woman?
Some might say they would just move out, but if I was spending my nights looking like Anya Taylor-Joy and making out with Matt Smith, I'd be blowing off reality too.
There's something so refreshing about watching a completely original work (with its influences, but original) and I'm such a fan of "this is a horrible situation, but what a L O O K 👁👄👁"
Critics: "All Marvel movies are the same 🙄🙄 this is a dying genre"
*Chloe Zhao makes something different*
Critics: "This is not what I go into a Marvel movie for 🤬🤬 so convoluted and slow, but not like a Zhao movie"
Fuck that noise, yes, this movie is different, it's beautiful and it feels big, cosmical and geniune AND WE LOVE THAT!
I was gonna give it four stars, but it gets five for reparations.
