I couldn’t think of a better movie to rewatch on my bday together with my mom!
this is my first time watching the movie after reading the book.
I pushed it aside for so long because I was so afraid of how it could made me feel and let me tell you, my fears became real, i‘m a fucking mess.
And rewatching this with the knowledge of the book and elio‘s thoughts in your head, it’s just so calmingly beautiful and even more sad.
The Book made me relate to Elio even more than in the movie already, and that’s rare considering the fact that there are very few accurate written bisexual characters.
This movie owns me and will own me forever and I wouldn’t want it any different...
I hope that one day I can meet Andre, Luca or even the cast and thank them for all of this, I really don’t know what I would do without this movie.
about a year ago it introduced me into the world of films and been with me ever since.
this year was and still is very rough for me but I’m going through it with therapy and medication, so hopefully it will get better soon!
I could go on with this forever but what I just wanted to say is : THANK YOU CMBYN, you really are that bitch.
Love y’all, thanks for all the birthday wishes 💕
