I had a really good time with Wan's latest, although it does kind of fall apart if you think about it too much. So I won't.

I don't want to say too much about it because it's best going in cold. I can see the influences here, though, and I like them. Wan is quite a dynamic filmmaker, and the film is a visual treat. I dug the score and its riff on a classic Pixies tune. The Seattle setting is just perfect, and I now 100% want to go visit the Seattle Underground. And it's wrapped up in under two hours? Yes, please. Recommended.
