You Were Never Really Here 2017
Intense, brooding, gruesome. I had watched this movie sometime back and enjoyed it, but this watch i was really impressed with Joaquin Phoenix and the flashbacks that his character experienced that really help the viewer know what he’s going through throughout the movie.
The score was bass heavy and set the perfect mood throughout the film. On the way up to the governors mansion it gave you this very eery feeling.
It’s sad and frightening that the subject matter in…

C'mon C'mon 2021
“Be funny COMMA when you can PERIOD”
God this movie holds a special place for me. It’s ok to think life is unfair, it’s ok to be mad, it’s ok to be jealous, it’s ok to be or feel anything, just try to face them and not just let it fester.

Oblivion 2013
I really wish this leaned more into the synth filled dystopian sci-fi vibe some of scenes had, but all in all, I really liked where this went and enjoyed the twist.

Olga Kurylenko was really good here as well! I feel like she has always had such a tangential role in everything else I’ve seen her in, but here she got to act a little more.
I’m a fan of a story that comes together at the end!

A good time if you’re into Bob’s Burgers! I like the show, but some people in the audience at my screening were mega fans literally howling at jokes. I’ve never had that experience with it, but I like the humor because it’s clever and doesn’t dwell on the previous joke too long.
Felt like one long episode in a good way!

Ex Machina 2015
I love a movie that makes me question what it means to be human as well as my own humanity.
This is such a cool, low key sci-fi that raises more questions than it answers and has you wonder who’s side are you actually on and who do you feel is in the right? You could argue for both sides. At times I felt like Nathan was pushing the boundaries of technology and I think he had trouble accepting that…
