    Frances Ha

You’re in your 20s, and everyone is moving at a different rate. Educationally, Professionally, Romantically, Financially.  Frances Ha is about just that. The complicated process of figuring out who you are going to be as an adult. Painfully relatable, expertly written and well performed by Greta G. A truly special film. 5/5.

Forgive me for being too cool to rate this 5/5 on first watch.

In many ways, Everybody Wants Some!! is just a matured version of Dazed and Confused. Inherently funnier while still lush with that Richard Linklater charm. At this point, Linklater has perfected the hangout film, and I think he absolutely knows it.

Brb, gonna go listen to O Children on loop for the next hour or two and imagine it’s the late ‘90s, we’re knee deep into the Second Wizarding War, and I’m having a brief moment with my platonic soulmate inside one of those   “I Love Magic” tents.

I mean, seriously, how tf did we let France get away with choosing the billionth remake of Les Mis over this as its Oscar entry? Unforgivable.
