Favorites are what I loved last month
My father passed away several months ago, and life hasn’t been the same without him. I know he’s dead and gone, but some sense in me always feels like he’ll return. He’ll open up the front door covered in snow, snowshoes in hand, telling me about the two baby elk he saw crossing a stream in the woods. I know this will never happen, but the feeling is still with me.
His favorite movie was this one, and I remember…
Such peace I never thought I’d feel while watching a movie. So touching and transcending. I love when movies like this can bring us appreciation for every little thing we miss that makes life so uniquely worth living (Taste of Cherry is another that comes to mind).
Wim Wenders still wins me over. I think I’m in love with this movie.
