Yes, it really did take me this long to watch this. But this was certainly worth the wait and after all good things come to those who wait right!? I always knew I was going to love this anyways, there was no question about this anyways, and this was potentially dangerous as I had such high expectations before watching but thankfully and obviously it just exceeded any expectations I had and went above and beyond anything and everything I thought it would be. In a nutshell, I just adored this.
There's not much I can say about this that hasn't already been said. Although on a personal note I think it's plainly obvious that this was written and directed by a woman. Greta, thank you. Greta captures mother daughter relationships perfectly, in my opinion, and this is probably mainly because my relationship with my own Mum is very similar to that of Lady Bird and hers and I think that's why this really resonated with me and meant so much to me. I can't wait to rewatch this and share it with the other women in my life .. my Mum, my sister, my best friend since primary school. I can see myself falling even more in love with this film (if that's even possible) upon further watches.
