the main character is kinda insufferable, but I admire what this coming of age film aspires to be.
this show oversimplifies racism and glosses over the harsh reality of Hollywood. IMO, we shouldn’t really have white men writing parts for BIPOC. There always seems to be a disconnect. This show isn’t as genuine and compelling as the narrative is too preoccupied with David Corenswet’s character.
(on the side note, I LoVE Samara Weaving, but don’t waste your time on this.)
