Moonage Daydream

Moonage Daydream ★★★★½

As someone who has a lot of Bowie’s vinyls, listens to his music constantly and has a tattoo of the Blackstar album cover. Is my viewing of this film going to be a bit biased?

Absolutely.

As a film lover, this was a rather intoxicating and transcendental experience. This is what music films should be. Get rid of the paid actors trying recreate the musician’s life!

This was such a cinematic experience, that was just so incredibly loud and spiritually slow paced at the same time. It was very creatively stimulating. Will rewatch again.

And because this is about Bowie, here are my favourite songs from him:

- Lady Grinning Soul
- Sweet Thing, Candidate, Sweet Thing (reprise)
- The Man Who Sold The World
- Where Are We Now?
- Blackstar
