“Damn stink bugs.” *flick*
A lot of movies do well to have a couple cleverly interlocking threads. Parasite asks, “Why not 50?” This is still a delight as fastidiously constructed entertainment; an error-free symphony.
One thing Bong Joon-ho missed though. This is so spatially coherent that I am now certain the buttons for the stairwell lights could not be beneath the garage stairs in the living room. The path from the secret entrance to the switches is forward – putting it under the kitchen facing the street – then in stretches left, right, and left again, putting it well on the other side of the house, likely outside.
“This stone? It’s clinging to me.”
