  Plays like a Spielberg helmed episode of Amazing Stories with all of the craftsmanship you would expect. Officially a remake of A Guy Named Joe but feels equally indebted to Only Angels Have Wings. Forgot about the “Marlboro Man” of it all.

  Gerwig’s Brooke Cardinas is one of the great screwball heroines. Probably my 5th rewatch and still fascinated by the structure which essentially flips a switch into full blown Sturgess farce at the halfway mark.  Inspired casting of Michael Chernus.
