I've seen this about three times.

The animation is beautiful, the take on the body-swap genre feels new and interesting, and everything is structured perfectly.

And for some reason, none of it has ever clicked with me. It's not like I hate this movie or think it's overrated. I genuinely get the hype surrounding this, but this is just not that interesting to me. It feels melodramatic in a way that makes its emotional beats feel sappy. I get that it's anime, so that should be par for the course. But it just doesn't do it for me, personally.
