J Taylor-Jones’s review published on Letterboxd:
The tenth viewing, the first of this year. It reminded me of how lonely I felt back in April of last year, how unwell I was - how much pain I was in mentally.
Watching it in a lecture theatre, dancing at the front in a group of fellow students, reminded me of how much a miracle this film is. The bond that this, and the music of Talking Heads form and strengthen. It's a beautiful thing.
I'll take Stop Making Sense with me wherever I go, and use it to bond. I'll remember just how far I've come as I thrive wherever I can. Right now, I'm thriving here, and a year and a half on from what will hopefully be the worst breakdown of my life, I'm on top of the world.
