Unabashedly cheesy and wholesome as ever, and in its best moments, also a brilliant satire of the superhero genre. It's disappointing that the other 40-50% is just contrived and formulaic tropes and bizarre scene-to-scene pacing. Most of the best stuff in the movie is just a collection of little "what if kid became superhero?" SNL sketches they showed in the trailers. Not at all bad - and definitely a step forward in the emotionally-resonant direction for DC - but it could've been much more.
