Blofeld’s review published on Letterboxd:
I really dug an afternoon screening of one of David Cronenberg's inarguably finest works. Camouflaged yet still openly playing like an old horror b-movie (especially in Howard Shore's score) it still manages to be open to however you wanna interpret it. It can be a great satire on a love story if you want it to be. It can be an utterly horrifying take on human existence - and not just in its (astounding) 80's gore.
"Am I dying? Is this how it starts?"
Jeff Goldblum channels so much in this film, with and without makeup. He and Cronenberg did wonders here.
