I was going to rewatch Bad Boys for Michael Bay’s birthday but I decided to go with this film since I had a very stressful day at school. Plus my good friend Phoebe watched this and reminded me how amazing it is. And this definitely helped. While It’s a Wonderful Life is arguably the definitive feel good film, this is without a doubt the happiest film ever made. It’s 103 minutes of pure joy full of love, friendship and music. It’s an essential comedy and romance for the ages that everyone must see at least once. It’s also the OG “it’s official ol buddy, I’m a has been” film about Hollywood. Not to mention a very timely film since Cinema is going through change with streaming services and some people aren’t too happy about it.
There’s a reason this is the most cliché answer for the best musical of all time and that’s because it is.
