I would only recommend this movie for a relaxed, rainy Sunday afternoon. Actually,not even then.
The only amusing thing about this movie is the rainy New York vibes. And even that, I was too distracted to enjoy, by the pretentious plot, about some rich kids -hardly relatable- drama.
Plus; I was so nervous the whole time about the -20 year old, cute, naive and sexy student- as so profoundly introduced, surrounded by creepy actors that seemed so close to harassing…
"Little Women" novel is a semi-biography of the author. I thought the movie was just about the novel's story (of four teenagers growing their way into adulthood). It was a pleasant surprise that the movie was not only about that, but about the process of the novel as well.
It captures the "happy" ending as written in the book,and the accomplishment of the publishing. And I personally found myself more satisfied of the second one. I guess not because it's necessarily better but, maybe, the most liberating...
