how in the FUCK does anyone hate this movie. luke skywalker, possibly one of the greatest heroes in cinema, is portrayed so brilliantly and the ending of his story is so beautiful. i cried a lot during this movie, the scene with luke and yoda, the scene with luke and leia, and of course, luke’s death. when i heard binary sunset, and just saw him vanish like that, i just got hit with a wave of memories of his adventures in the original trilogy, and just started bawling. it’s a brilliant ending to one of my favorite heroes. thank you rian johnson for that.
also, i would really like it if episode 9 doesn’t pull off a ROTJ and that it’s actually good so that it makes this trilogy a really good one.
