• Spree

    Spree

Another film that's glorious in it's ignorance of not only internet culture, but very basic technology as well, that pretends it has a purpose behind it by rehashing the same banal "social media makes you crazy and detached bruh" narrative. An unfunny joke covered with a thin layer of satire in the form of nothing but vapid caricatures.

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl

    ★★★½

On top of being the best superhero movie, it's funnier than most comedies and has better action scenes than most action films.

  • When Black Birds Fly

    When Black Birds Fly

    ★★★★★

This is a one of a kind experience, whether you end up loving or hating it. Highly recommended, but if you feel like it's too much at one point, you should probably stop watching it because it will only get worse. Incredibly overwhelming while being well-balanced with comedy that works significantly better than in "Where the Dead Go to Die". It's also way more disturbing with a couple of scenes being so brutal they might as well be real. This is my new religion.

Make Borat great again and take out the libs.

  • Kotoko

    Kotoko

    ★★★½

I finished watching 'Kotoko' about 10 hours ago, took a sleep and I'm still not sure how to feel about it. It has a lot of great things going for it, but also a few problems that unfortunately weigh it down a lot for me. Shinya Tsukamoto has been one of my favorite directors. The more I watch from him the more I love everything about his style. His DIY method of set design and special effect shine through here…

I don't know what to rate this. My brain is telling me 4, my heart is telling me 5, and my soul is telling me 6.

    Philosophy of a Knife

    ★½

Watched an hour and 30 minutes (no idea why) and it's boring and cheesy. Don't bother.
