I really don’t know if I’ve seen any other directors that can match The Safdie Brothers pace. Frenetic, chaotic and uber depressing.
Sandler reaches new heights as Howard Ratner. No question one of the top two or three performances I’ve seen this year. It’s insane how good he is here.
I’m salivating to see the next Safdie brothers film, whenever it may come. This is sure to be a 5 on a rewatch.
