Matthias’s review published on Letterboxd:
It’s conventional and by the books as hell, but is also a hell of a blast and actually has a good spark of creativity unlike most other biopics. The spirit of Elton John is wonderfully captured and that’s probably widely due to the amount of involvement he had with the film. Taron is of course great but I think Jamie Bell gives the best performance in the movie.
It’s a wonderfully joyful and fun time and well worth the price of admission.
