I love the set up of it all so much that I can forgive the ending losing my just a little bit. Endlessly rewatchable despite the run time.

    “Did you always know?”
    ”No. No, I didn’t. But I believed. I believed.”

This specific time of year is always tough for me, as I lost a very close person to me 4 years ago today. It’s a death I often find myself blaming me for, even though I know it’s not true. Something about going into 2022 watching a movie like this really helped me this year though. Excited to finally watch Resurrections soon. Happy new year everyone. 💙

I still loved this but I do understand why people hated it. Easily the most divisive movie of the year, which I feel like Adam McKay is just going to stick to divisive films from now on. Good.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Andrew Garfield and Willem Dafoe both made my heart happy and were easily the best parts of the film. This is also the best of Tom Holland’s trilogy by a long shot for me and largely due to nostalgia. I don’t care.

I’m sorry, but I do fucking love where Adam McKay has been going in his career lately and this rocks just as hard as Vice and The Big Short for me. It earns every right to be as blatantly obvious and on the nose as it is considering that’s literally just how it is. Also, Leo in this is basically just Rick Dalton if he was a modern day astronomer, so this and OUATIH are spiritually connected for me.

The restaurant scene is one of the funniest scenes to ever exist, Kronk is a legend. This also makes for an incredibly perfect Valentine’s Day movie.

I’ve had nearly 3 hours to rest on how I feel about this movie and even still I don’t think I can do all of my thoughts on this justice. Definitely due for a second watch at some point, but wow, this is by far the best Pixar movie in recent memory and might just be my new favorite from Pixar.

The animation is absolutely stunning and gorgeous here and it’s a goddamn shame this didn’t get delayed for a…

Quite the surprise of a movie, I knew next to nothing about it aside from the main premise. I only discovered it’s existence a month ago and was highly intrigued by the premise. I haven’t watched a movie in over a month and I’m glad I chose this to break that little streak because it’s my favorite movie of the year so far.

It touches so heavily on something that I myself am already terrified of, especially recently as I’ve…

Bill Murray’s best performance. I wasn’t remembering this movie being as emotional as it was but I did indeed find myself crying.

I said those things, I did those things. It’s who I am.
