Bob McCully’s review published on Letterboxd:
Super refreshing Marvel superhero movie that had some great acting, awesome roles for women, a strong political message, and a totally rad score.
If I had to be honest though: the first hour was great as I was really drawn into the story but the second hour felt like every other cliched superhero movie I've seen before. Would've liked way more depth and time spent on Erik Killmonger, he took the throne way too easily/quickly and that's when the film felt like a missed opportunity.
Still one of the better superhero films out there and would recommend it. I think if you're a fan of the genre (which I'm admittedly not) then you'll love this movie.
