Boggy Creek’s review published on Letterboxd:
The House with Laughing Windows is a wicked taste of the giallo genre, employing a rather seamless and entangling mystery with an unforgettable climax. It's sure to give anyone goosebumps, and in comparison with other giallos of its time, it’s extraordinarily creepy.
The lead is fantastic. He's perhaps the best I've seen in a giallo. He gets entangled in a romance with a teacher amongst the mystery, allowing some time for sweet rest. She largely affects the film, and I gotta say I was in love with her.
The mystery unfolds at a foreboding and eager pace and there are genuine moments of silent macabre in each scene. It can seem to fall apart towards its third act but it quickly returns to form. Yes, do check The House with Laughing Windows the fuck out.
