This is probably one of the greatest psychological horror masterpieces I’ve seen coming from a reboot. It did the right thing of relying the horror factor on disturbing imagery instead of predictable jump scares. I was rightfully distressed throughout most of it, especially during the closing of Act 6: Suspiriorum (even found myself pinching the back of my neck over how unsettling everything was). The cinematography was stellar, as well, contributing to the eeriness while keeping the authenticity the first movie provided.
I’ll forever be grateful for this Guadagnino follow up.
