This week’s Friday Night Film pick is quite possibly the greatest contemporary horror film you’ve never seen and is a part of the BFI’s In Dreams are Monsters, a UK-wide season of horror films that focuses on the creatures that have haunted our screens and dreams for over a century.
A visually stunning dark fantasy set in São Paulo, GOOD MANNERS follows Clara, a lonely nurse from the outskirts of the city who is hired by mysterious and wealthy Ana to be the nanny of her soon to be born child. Against all odds, the two women develop a strong bond. But a fateful night marked by a full moon changes their plans.
In Dreams are Monsters makes its way to the 41st Cambridge Film Festival, which kicked off yesterday and runs until 27th October, with screenings of modern classics of the horror genre such as Donnie Darko and Let the Right One In.
