I put this on, thinking it would be a mediocre sort of thing to have on in the background while I cleaned my house, but within minutes I got sucked into this thing. It's a fun ride. Cast is great (particularly Plemons), the set pieces are entertaining (even if the color grader should've been fired), and I actually got more enjoyment out of this than I did either of the recent Jumanji movies. Nothing groundbreaking, just fun.
EDIT: Also, the score sounds basically like a royalty free version of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters," and it slaps in the same way that the cover of "Where is My Mind" helped to carry Malignant. More weirdo pseudo-covers for scores, please.
