Watched this in two pieces since I caught the end on TV then watched the beginning on D+.
I don't think I've watched this from beginning to end since I saw it in theaters and upon rewatching I found myself pleasantly surprised. While it is still "another origin story" movie, I thought the visual effects and overall style of this was really refreshing, and got me excited to see where this character goes next. The supporting cast were all well-acted and Mads Mikkelsen as the villain was great stuff. Being a librarian myself, Wong will always be my favorite part of this movie, but this was a fun return to a movie I didn't remember all that well.
Hoping for more visually interesting spells/fights in the Multiverse of Madness as well as a better score since the one in this was so forgettable I thought Michael Giacchino recycled the main theme from Star Trek. Also would like to see a return of Mordo since he left some interesting loose ends...
