Brad’s review published on Letterboxd:
Much is the case with Hereditary, Aster's themes are too shallow to meet his scope of vision. No doubt is he an extraordinary stylist, able to craft memorable images, but he struggles to provide the emotional depth they deserve to become truly iconic. Did we need 2.5 hours for a break-up allegory? There's a lack of characterization that weakens the film as a whole, especially when the plot's trajectory is televised from the get-go.
