Brad’s review published on Letterboxd:
When people ask me what my favorite movie of all time is, I always say Jaws. I always have and always will. I first saw it when I was a kid and it stuck with me ever since. I have a huge soft spot for sharks and shark films, but I don’t think that has anything to do with it. Not only is this about a shark terrorizing a small east coast town, but it’s about the adventure and thrill ride that our three main protagonists set off on together. The dynamic between the three is some of the best of the best in cinema, and is almost more exciting than watching the shark itself. This is also one of the rare instances where the movie adaptation is better than the book, even though there were a few things missing from the movie that were actually in the book. All in all, this is one of the greatest movies ever made, even though the production was a living hell. The cast and crews efforts were proved victorious, thus creating the, technical, first summer blockbuster.
