Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest 2006
I think it’s safe to assume that the first one is arguably the best in the series. But that doesn’t mean everything afterward is bad because this is a pretty good entry in the series.
I’m happy to see that there are improvements with the cinematography, music, tone, action and set pieces. Jack, Will, Elizabeth and the rest of the crew are still entertaining characters. Davy Jones is easily my favorite villain in the series, but that’s not saying much. Bill Nighy…

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 2003
The lack of good Disney movies lately and One Piece has brought me back to watch these movies again.
Johnny Depp is iconic as Jack Sparrow, and so are the rest of the side characters. The story feels fresh and fun, and possibly the most well written film in the series. I love the mix of practical and visual effects, and it’s good to see actual sets again. Its action and set pieces have always been great in these movies, especially in the next two films.
To no one’s surprise, The Curse of the Black Pearl is a swashbuckling classic.
