I really liked what Zhao brought to the MCU with her sensitivity and using the scope of world history to put into challenge the omnipotence of superheroes. I really enjoyed watching “Eternals” and for the most part my fears of this being completely stripped of Zhao’s style didn’t come to light. Obviously this was never going to go full “The Rider” or “Nomadland” but I admire what Zhao was able to do in the grand scheme of the MCU.
