Brendon’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don’t know what it is but Wes Anderson’s movies are just so addictive and joyful to watch, this is easily the best that I’ve seen of his so far. The performances are all brilliant, literally everyone does so well in this and no one feels out of place. The cinematography is the best looking that I’ve seen and each scene could be framed and hung up (just like boy with apple) it’s just a real feast on the eyes. I adore the quirkiness and the atmosphere of the worlds that he creates in his movies, I truly feel like he’s on the path to being in my top 5 directors of all time. I just loved this so much, thank you Wes.
