If the purpose of a movie is to entertain on some level, then this one is one of the most successful ever made. My main issues aren't so much the excessive flashbacks (if you know the backstory of the film's existence, then you know it was supposed to have even more) but the bizarre inconsistencies with the first one. Why is Mother Superior burnt from a stroke? How, if it's a sequel, does he go to see the first movie?…

Godzilla Minus One 2023
SO GOOD. I was worried about all the hype because those folks were saying the same about Shin Godzilla which I found just kind of ok, but this worked like gangbusters. So happy I got to see it on the big screen.
